How To Spray Doors With An Airless Paint Sprayer

Painting doors with an airless is a fast and efficient way to get a lot of doors done in a short amount of time. However, airlesses are designed to pump a lot of paint per minute, which can make spraying of doors or other small items tricky if you don't know what you are doing. Dirt blowing up in the room, runs and sags from too much paint are all common problems to the inexperienced spray person.

Having said that, even the beginner can do a nice job if you are shown what to do and what to avoid. The painters advice and his technique show that he is a skilled craftsmen with a lot of experience. The big things for you to look out for are as follows: use the right sized tip, be aware of dirt and dust, paint the edges by hand and maintain a smooth spray stroke with an approximate 50% overlap.
